II. Why Bamboo Gate

What sets this work apart

Thinking before transacting

Most advisory services begin when a deal is already in motion. Our programmes help owners clarify their thinking before engaging lawyers, accountants, or brokers.

Hong Kong-specific context

Content is built around the structures, legal environment, and family dynamics common among Hong Kong owner-operators — not adapted from overseas material.

Designed for busy owners

Programmes run over several weeks with structured modules. There's no requirement to carve out extended time away from the business to complete them.

Tangible outputs

Participants leave each programme with written frameworks and structured thinking they can share with advisors, family members, or prospective buyers.

No pressure to act

These are educational programmes, not sales vehicles. Participants are not pushed toward any particular exit route or advisory relationship.

Peer cohort learning

Programmes include cohort discussion among a small group of owners at similar life stages — a rare opportunity to think alongside people facing comparable decisions.

III. Next Step

Is this the right time to start thinking?

Most owners we speak with say they wish they had started thinking about exit two or three years earlier than they did. A conversation costs nothing and carries no obligation.

IV. Common Questions

Questions owners often ask

Who are these programmes designed for?
Owner-operators of small and medium businesses in Hong Kong, typically aged 40 and above, who are beginning to think seriously about what an eventual exit might look like. No prior knowledge of M&A or corporate finance is assumed.
Do I need to be planning to sell soon?
Not at all. Many participants are five to ten years away from any formal exit. The earlier owners begin building clarity about their options, the more prepared they are when circumstances shift — and they often do, without warning.
Are these programmes delivered online or in person?
Programmes are structured for small cohorts and can be delivered in a blended format — some sessions in person at our Central office, with module materials accessible online. Please enquire for current cohort formats.
Will I receive advice specific to my business?
Our programmes are educational in nature, not advisory. They give you the frameworks and vocabulary to work effectively with legal, tax, and financial advisors. We do not provide personalised legal, tax, or transactional advice.
How much time is required each week?
Programmes are designed for working owners. Most participants spend three to five hours per week on module content, reading, and exercises. Live sessions are scheduled to avoid core business hours where possible.
What is the fee structure and payment terms?
Fees are quoted per programme in HKD and are paid in advance of the cohort start date. Fees cover all programme materials and cohort access. Please contact us for current cohort dates and enrolment details.
